We kinda live in the middle of nowhere so I knew I needed to find something that would work for us. This is a tad tricky because we also don’t have wifi, so these things usually need some sort of wifi. But, it at least alerts us when they have the property zone and the general area to look. So for us, this is perfect! I paid for the year sub, in the app. And I love it!

If you have a pet that likes to escape as soon as the door opens, this device from Tractive is for you. I’m currently fostering a beutiful pup that loves people. Only flaw is that, despite her 50 pound size, is an expert at squeezing through the tiniest opening, running into the community next to ours, and finding someone or a party and making herself comfy. After me and multiple neighbors have found her several times. I had it! Got this device. Awesome! It works in a range of several hundred feet if you don’t pay for the GPS plan. I paid for the plan, which was a reasonable cost. I wanted to test it out so I took the dog to an adoption event about 1 hour away. As soon as she left the specified area, it started alerting me. It pinpointed her location exactly, displayed the map. It also showed the route I should take to get to her! The battery life is good. It does have a battery saving mode where you can designate a home zone where it only seeks her every 15 minutes. My battery lasts 3 to 4 days. When it actively tracks her, I suspect it would last 2 to 3 days. I tried not to let it go dead because I don’t want it to stop working if I need it. I also know a Youtube influencer who travels all over with their cat Chungus. He always has his device on when they take him outside his RV for some free roaming time. It’s definitely worth the price of the device AND the gps monitoring.

We use this on our dog to make sure he stays on our 80 acre property. For the most part I’m very happy. There have been a few times we did not get alerts, or the alerts came late. Battery life is ok, but I really wish it was better. We average 7-10 days on battery. I’d love more but 7-10 days on something this size is still impressive. We use the feature that connects him to our wifi to save battery, but that also means we can’t see his exact location when he’s on our wifi. Our wifi covers 5-10 acres, so that’s a large area. It’s helpful to know he’s in there, but knowing exactly where would be nice. Charging is easy and fairly quick. We bought a cover for ours and I would suggest that. Our dog is a farm dog, so the unit would get VERY dirty without the cover. Overall GREAT product and would/will buy again.

My newly rescued Great Pyrenees escaped and ran. Thanks to her Tractive GPS, we knew exactly where she was at all times. We waited patiently in the area of our property nearest her with a bowl of freshly cooked chicken. We were told not to chase, so it was nice to wait confidently as she slowly approached us and after several hours, was enticed to be caught. Money well spent for peace of mind!

works good but battery lasts 4 days maximum

It was inaccurate to begin with and then the reason I got the tracker was because I haven’t hit you who was running off the dog ran off the GPS tracker did not work I never found the dog

First let me say I do love this product! The power button needs improvement, the light is useless “eliminate “, the sound is way to weak, needs improvement. Now imagine merging with Invirox. That would be nice an all in one.
